Norway!
A 29-year-old man is being held in a psychiatric institution in Norway
against his will.
Mette Ellingsdalen, chair of We Shall Overcome (WSO), a sponsor group
of MindFreedom International, has issued an urgent human rights alert,
saying the way he is being treated is endangering his life and well
being.

(2) Jim Gottstein Visits NYC: Keeps Fighting for Psychiatric Rights!
Attorney Jim Gottstein of PsychRights will have quite a Ground Hogs
Day in New York City on 2 February 2010.
Jim will fly from Alaska to NYC for a court hearing scheduled at 2 pm
on the infamous "Zyprexa Papers," where Eli Lilly continues to target
Jim because of his courageous public interest work exposing their
illegal activities to the public. An afternoon rally by We The People
to support Jim and to tell Eli Lilly "Stop Bullying Us" is planned to
begin at 1 pm in front of the court house.
After the hearing, Jim will give a free presentation from 4 to 8 pm
about the PsychRights Medicaid fraud initiative against psychiatric
drugging of children and youth.

(3) Judi Chamberlin Remembered in Obituaries
New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, NPR and other media
outlets have all run obituaries for mad movement leader Judi
Chamberlin, who died at age 65. Judi served for years on the board of
directors of MindFreedom International, and many other groups.
