International Artists Residence
Turin, Italy

The Diogene group of artists is promoting the international  
competition “Diogene Urbanbivouac”, open to italian and foreign  
artists. The artist selected will be hosted in a small housing unit or  
Bivouac , built in an “interstitial” area of the city, that will be  
the artist’s living and working environment.

The first residence program has been held in 2007 with the artists  
Giorgio Andreotta Calò and Mario Tomè; the chinese artist Pak Sheung  
Chuen won the first official competition held in autumn 2008.


Deadline: May 23, 2009
Period of stay: three to six weeks between September 21 and November 7  
2009
Budget: up to 7.500 euros (attendance reward, travel and living  
expenses, Production expenses for the project/s)

DIOGENE BIVACCOURBANO 2009
Residenza per Artisti
Torino, Italia

Il gruppo DIOGENE bandisce il concorso internazionale per la residenza  
“Diogene bivaccourbano”, aperto a tutti gli artisti italiani e  
stranieri. Il vincitore sarà ospitato all’interno di un piccolo modulo  
abitativo (il Bivacco), allestito in uno spazio “interstiziale” della  
città di Torino, che diventerà il luogo di vita e lavoro dell’artista  
per la durata della residenza.

Il programma di residenza nasce nel 2007 come progetto pilota e vede  
la partecipazione degli artisti Giorgio Andreotta Calò e Mario Tomè  
mentre la seconda edizione si è svolta nell'autunno 2008 con la  
partecipazione dell’artista cinese Pak Sheung Chuen.

Scadenza: 23 Maggio 2009
Periodo: da 3 a 6 settimane tra il 21 Settembre e il 7 Novembre 2009
Budget: fino a 7.500 euro (gettone presenza, copertura spese viaggio e  
vitto, produzione del lavoro)
