hello all!

as T_Bazz wrote we would like to propose a performance of  
experimental electronics, realtime audio video noise + hacked  
hardware/artware from Chicago for the AHA event in Venice

this is a description of the 0UR080R05 project by myself + jake elliott:

"0UR080R05 (Ouroboros) by jonCates + jake elliott is a realtime audio  
video project. Chicago based artists jonCates + jake elliott use  
hacked typewriters, a hand built computerized 16mm film projector +  
footage of William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin to create a  
cybernetic third mind. Live coding of self-modifying programs and  
processing of these audio and video signals creates an expansive and  
contractive recursive system that eats and excretes itself like a  
data bent digital version of Ouroboros, the dragon who swallows his  
own tail and symbolizes infinity. 0UR080R05 (translated from LEET  
into English as "Ouroboros") finds jonCates + jake elliott live  
coding artware intertwined in deep time recursivity + self-modifying  
psychedelic cyberware. this realtime audio video performance coils  
digital systems into themselves creating a speculative screenplay  
virtually typewritten on raw 16mm film footage of william s.  
burroughs + brion gysin (composing the screenplay itself by methods  
such as cut-up + fold in (while this infinite regress is being  
threaded into the projector that is currently being used to project  
the self-same code-based film (recursive code snippets getting stuck  
+ sucked back (feed back + feed forward loops expanding +  
contracting)))) into 0UR080R05' own owlish entrails."
